Setiap gadis kecil bermimpi tentang pernikahannya suatu hari kelak. Memakai gaun putih, dan cantik, didampingi suami yang tampan. Tapi bocah 9 tahun, Jayla Cooper tidak mempunyai waktu untuk menunggu lama hingga cukup umur. Ia harus berjuang melawan maut selama dua tahun akibat leukemia yang dideritanya.
